JMI Music Zone:
A World of Jewish Music

presented by the JEWISH MUSIC INSTITUTE

Rock your Jewish Soul with the Music Zone on Shalom FM presented by the Jewish Music Institute.

At 11.00 am every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout November you will be able to tune into the diverse sounds of the World of Jewish Music.

From Eastern Europe Shtetl music to megatropolis America, from exotic regions of Spain and North Africa to unpretentious Bethnal Green, from the Synagogue to the Street, and from Cheder to the dance floor, we will bring you Jewish music to fit just about any mood or sensibility.

Laoise Davidson from the Jewish Music Institute will be your host on a journey through time and space and into the depths of the Jewish soul. You will meet top musicians, experts and music enthusiasts including Hilda Bronstein, Sophie Solomon, Hirsh Cashdan, Ben Wolf, Yvonne Behar and many more.

There will also be a series of special shows featuring music to celebrate the 350th Anniversary of Jews in Britain including a review of Simcha in the Square plus previews of Borsht To Blighty: A day of Jewish Culture at the South Bank.
