connects the community to Israel. Through a range of innovative and
educational programmes, it is the UK’s leading framework for religious
Zionism. Mizrachi's goal is to strengthen Jewish identity and
support Israel where it is most needed.

The presenters
Ben
Winston
Ben Winston has
previously worked for LBC and TalkSport, notably presenting 'On This Day
In Football History with Ben Winston,' for TalkSport's Drivetime show. He has since worked in
television, working on shows such as 'Wife Swap' and 'Teachers'. He
has just produced his first feature film, 'In Search Of Diego' which is
due out in cinemas in February. As a lifetime member of
Bnei Akiva, Ben is looking forward to standing on his chair singing in the
Shalom FM studios.
Jonny
Lipczer
Jonny is the Executive
Director of Mizrachi, the religious Zionist umbrella organisation.
He has previously been the Mazkir of Bnei Akiva, and has enjoyed working
for communal organisations and charities. Jonny's radio
experience includes an appearance of BBC Radio 4's 'The Moral Maze'.
He is looking forward to connecting the community to Israel through the
Mizrachi programme on Shalom FM.
Michael
Dickson
Born in London, Michael
moved to Israel in August 2006 with his wife and children and now resides
in Ra’anana. Michael was very communally involved in the UK and was
twice appointed to Bnei Akiva’s executive. Following this, he moved from a
sojourn in the advertising industry to act as Director of Informal Jewish
Education at JFS. While there, he launched the groundbreaking “Ambassador”
programme, a reality-TV show format education scheme, teaching students
skills in advocating for Israel. Michael is Associate Director of
StandWithUS, overseeing programmes in Israel and Europe dealing with
diplomacy, lobbying, communication, and leadership in relationship to
Israel for this global advocacy organisation.

Monday 20th November at 4.20 pm - 4.50 pm
Miriam Kaye is is the Education Officer for the Three Faiths Forum,
and she'll be in the studio to talk about her work in promoting interfaith
harmony.
Mark Ross, the new Executive Director of the British Israel Chamber of
Commerce, will speak about the challenges he faces in his new role there. We'll also be joined by Avi Friedmann, Gideon Black and Tamar Citron, who
run a Mizrachi Sunday morning teenage centre.

Tuesday 21st November at 4.20 pm - 4.50 pm
Meira Katz is the Israeli emissary for the Jewish Agency for Israel.
She'll be talking about the process of Aliyah, and will take questions on
the phone. We'll also speak to Eli Ovits in Jerusalem, who will tell
us about how Mizrachi has helped the children of Sderot. And, as
it's our last programme, we'll look back at some of Ben, Jonny and
Michael's highlights from the series

Monday 30th October
We went live to Jerusalem to speak to Michael Dickson of "Stand With Us" who
spoke about his work in Israel advocacy, and updated us on some
'good news' from Israel. BA's Shaliach, Rabbi Warren Kaye, also
joined us to share some insights from the week's news. We also spoke
to Natan Wiesenberg about the trend of new minyanim opening up in London.

Tuesday 31st October
Bnei Akiva's Mazkir, David Kaplan, was in the studio talking about
the importance of youth in the Jewish community. We also got an
update on the new Edgware Eruv from Jason Ozin.

Thursday 2nd October
The news editor at the Jewish News, Justin Cohen, reviewed the
weekend's paper, and the Hasmonean head boy, Pini Shebson, and his
deputies, Bendov Salasnik and Alex Holder, joined us in the studio.

Monday 6th November
Rabbi Gideon Sylvester spoke to us about his role at the Israeli Prime
Minister's Office. Anton Goodman from World Bnei Akiva was in the
studio to speak about BA's gap year programmes, and we went live to
Israel to catch up with Josh Schwartz and Adam Drucker who are currently
studying there.

Tuesday 7th November
Herzl Award winner, Stephen Rosenthal, also a Legacy Heritage Fellow,
gave some tips on how you can
stand up for Israel, and he spoke about his work at BICOM. The Hasmonean Israel Society
were also in
the studio to tell us what they've been doing to promote Israel awareness
in school.

Justin Cohen, of the Jewish News, reviewed the weekend's
paper, and wel were joined by JFS students who have returned from a
three-month school trip to Israel.

Monday 13th November at 4.20 pm - 4.50 pm
Mindy Wiesenberg, Chairman of Emunah, told us how the charity has
been looking after our children in Israel, particularly after the recent
conflict in the Middle East. Avi Gillis, Bnei Akiva's education officer,
was also on hand to talk
about the educational messages we can learn from the situation in Israel.

Tuesday 14th November at 4.20 pm - 4.50 pm
Stephen Levey, choirmaster of the Shabbaton Choir, told us
about the work they do when they visit Israel. We'll also previewed a couple of tracks from their brand new album - live and
exclusive on the Mizrachi Programme! Dr Simon Hochhauser, the
President of the United Synagogue, was also with us in the studio, and he
told us why he loves the Shabbaton Choir.
